  • PharmaJet, Invectys enter Phase 2 cancer vaccine trial

    Needle-free injection technology company PharmaJet, based in Golden, Colo., will be working with French biopharma company Invectys to test Invectys' therapeutic cancer vaccine. The Phase 2 trial is for INVAC-1, which uses PharmaJet’s needle-free injection system and is an immunotherapeutic DNA vaccine meant to treat cancer, the companies said.

    The latest has been reported upon in Walgreens Flu Index. The weekly report which was developed to provide state and market-specific information regarding flu activity has all signs pointing to Texas once again.

    For the second week in a row, The Flu Index is reporting that the Lone Star state is holding the top spot for flu activity for the week ending Dec. 16.

    Lip care products from ChopSaver, created by trumpeter Dan Gosling, are on their way to firefighters in Southern California. The Indianapolis-based company announced that over 7,000 tubes will be shipped straight to the first responders battling the ongoing fires in that region.

    Kellogg’s is expanding its line of Special K products by introducing new, Special K Nourish Berries & Peaches with Probiotics. The cereal features peach-flavored flakes, a blend of blueberries, raspberries, peaches yogurt pieces and 12-g. of whole grains.

  • Target announces extended holiday hours

    Target is catering to last-minute shoppers by extending store hours and offering convenient ways to obtain purchases before the holiday. The Minneapolis-based company has announced that up until December 23, all stores will open at 7:00 a.m., and close at midnight. On Christmas Eve, all Target locations throughout the nation will open at 7:00 a.m., and close at either 10:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.

  • Ulta Beauty shakes up the cosmetics industry with Manhattan store opening

    Ulta Beauty is looking to make a splash with the opening of its first-ever Manhattan store. Located at 188 East 86th St in New York City, the store looks to offer consumers more than just beauty products to sift through. General manager Jennifer Diaferio notes that though this new location will offer many of the staple services – skin, brow and beauty – consumers have come to associate the company with, it also looks to make its own individual mark.

  • AmerisourceBergen Foundation launches support program combating opioid abuse

    The AmerisourceBergen Foundation has announced the launch of a municipal support program aimed towards the safe disposal of opioids. The Valley Forge, Pa.-based company aims to do this by providing communities nationwide with resources to deactivate expired or unused medications.
