    General Mills is bringing dessert to the breakfast table with the introduction of at least two new cereals made with Girl Scout cookies.

    The company confirmed this week that is plans to bring Thin Mint and Caramel Crunch cereals to retail shelves in January.

    The news comes after the Girl Scouts announced it plans to introduce two new types of cookies also in January: a s'mores flavor and a chocolate-dipped s'mores cookie.

    According to CNN, General Mills said some of the proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.

    Coca-Cola is planning to introduce two new flavors of Sprite in early 2017, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

    The two new flavors -- Sprite Cherry and Sprite Cherry Zero -- turned out to be one of the most popular options among customers using Coca-Cola's Freestyle soda fountains, which allow people to make mix-and-match drink flavors, the AJC reports.

    The updated line features existing Sprout Organic Baby Food flavors in a transparent pouch so parents can see what's inside the pouch.
