    SAN DIEGO and SAN FRANCISCO Avid "Star Wars" fans and game enthusiasts rejoice: "Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Galactic Passport" has hit retail.

    The "Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Galactic Passport" package includes a 90-day premium Jedi membership, 500 Station Cash, the exclusive Togruta playable character species, a Yoda bobblehead monitor topper, additional digital content and more.

    HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. Mars Chocolate North America is breathing new life into its Dove chocolate brand with new product innovations.

    Dove is introducing two new sophisticated and delicious flavor combinations: raspberry and dark chocolate swirl, and white and milk chocolate swirl. Dove's chocolate swirl line will be supported with a new marketing campaign, which includes print and TV advertisements, the company said.

    AUSTIN, Texas Genesis Today is rolling out a new line of superfruit juices, developed in partnership with Walgreens.

    Genesis Today's Boost line of juices are nutrient-rich and are available in acai berry and pomegranate berry with resveratrol, and will be available at Walgreens stores nationwide.

  • Smart for Life develops gluten-free diet cookie

    BOCA RATON, Fla. Weight-management products company Smart for Life has developed a diet cookie for those with gluten sensitivity.

    The gluten-free banana chocolate chip granola square has no preservatives and is made with many organic ingredients and a balanced protein formula with healthy fats and carbohydrate ratios. As with all Smart for Life products, this gluten-free line also effectively suppresses the appetite, the company said.

  • The Chill Group introduces Just Chill relaxation beverage

    SANTA BARBARA, Calif. A new relaxation beverage may be coming to a store near you.

    The Chill Group said its Just Chill beverage — which increases focus and reduces stress using 100% natural ingredients, including ginseng, ginko biloba and other essential vitamins — currently is being sold in Whole Foods stores in California. The company will exhibit Just Chill at the 2010 National Association of Convenience Stores Show in Atlanta this week and hopes to gain national distribution in the near future.

  • Stonyfield Farm gets plant-based packaging for yogurt products

    ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. Clear Lam Packaging has developed a new plastic derived from plants to be used as packaging for products from Stonyfield Farm.

    Stonyfield Farm's yogurt multipacks now feature the new packaging, which uses 93% renewable resources, primarily plant-based Ingeo PLA (polylactic acid), Clear Lam Packaging said. The new packaging is being used for every Stonyfield Farm multipack yogurt cup, including YoBaby, YoToddler and YoKids, as well as BHealthy, B-Well, Probiotic and O’Soy.

     

  • Chew on this: Trident's offering free NYC cab rides

    NEW YORK Trident gum is offering New Yorkers free cab rides in line with the launch of its newest Trident Layers gum flavor: cool mint and melon fresco.

    The one-day promotion, which will be held on Oct. 21 from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will allow people to hail taxis from a special stand in Manhattan's Times Square, where they can pay for their cab ride with packs of Trident Layers.

    Trident also will host other promotional activities while New Yorkers wait for their cab rides.
