  • Target CEO notes dip in Hispanic shopping, outlines retailer’s strengths at tech conference

    ASPEN, Colo. — At Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech Conference here, Target CEO Brian Cornell sat down to discuss the company’s strategy to reach its consumers and where it sees itself in the retail landscape — touting the key role its store base plays in its business even as it builds up its digital infrastructure. He also emphasized the company’s connection with its shoppers — and noted a sizeable dip in shopping activity among Hispanic consumers in the United States in the past several months.

  • Salvatori-Scott celebrates 30 years

    NEW ORLEANS — Salvatori-Scott last week celebrated the company's founding 30 years ago with the man who started it all, Steve Salvatori (second from the right in the picture above), during McKesson ideaShare 2017, here.

  • CRN explores addition of medical food to its lobbying repertoire

    WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Tuesday announced it is exploring adding representation for companies in the medical food industry to its mission, following a unanimous vote by the CRN board of directors at its June board meeting to launch an examination of this burgeoning sector of the nutrition category.

  • Budweiser rolls out packaging celebrating 11 states

    NEW YORK — Budweiser drinkers in 11 states will get to see their home state’s name, motto and nicknames on their beer cans and bottles through the end of September. Budweiser has begun its rollout of packaging celebrating the states its breweries are housed in.

    "Our new state bottles and cans celebrate the homes of our breweries and the communities that support them," Budweiser VP Ricardo Marques said. “Since 1876, Budweiser has been proudly brewed across America, and this summer, we're inviting local consumers to raise a cold one with us."

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Catalina on Wednesday introduced an all new purchase-based digital coupon solution called Segment Targeted Load to Card.  Catalina leverages scaled shopper insights to deliver targeted offers to shoppers based on their past purchases.

    CALGARY, Alberta — London Drugs on Monday opened a the first LDEXPRESS here, a "grab-and-go" retail store with 4,000 square feet of selling space that includes a full-service pharmacy, two customer service specialist desks and full-service ship-to-store pick up for everything available through the company's ecommerce site.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hostess is putting a new twist on an iconic snack. The company on Tuesday announced the introduction of chocolate peanut butter Twinkies — a chocolate cake Twinkie with peanut butter crème filling.
