  • Kmart predicts kids' 'wish lists' with release of annual Fab 15 toy list

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart has announced its list of the top toys for the 2011 holiday season.

    Unveiling its third annual Fab 15 toy list, Kmart said that this year's list features the hottest toys of the season from such brands as Hasbro, Mattel and more. The listed items range from $29.99 to $99.99.

  • Duracell teams up with wireless charger company Powermat

    BETHEL, Conn., and NEW YORK — Procter & Gamble's Duracell brand announced a joint venture with wireless charger company Powermat.

    As part of the strategic alliance between Duracell and Powermat, the companies will deliver best-in-class wireless power solutions. Additionally, P&G also expects to make an equity investment in Powermat.

    The joint venture is expected to commence next year, the companies said.

  • Bartell upgrades photo developing to Kodak APEX

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Seattle-based regional retail pharmacy Bartell Drugs has replaced its in-store photo processing lab systems with Kodak Adaptive Picture Exchange, Kodak said.

    The upgrade converts Bartell's processing lab systems from silver halide "wet lab" technology to APEX thermal dry labs.

    GREAT NECK, N.Y. — i-Star Entertainment has introduced FyrFlyz, a new bow-tie-shaped spinning toy on a string.

    Featuring multicolored LED lights that spin while attached to a short string, FyrFlyz create unique lighted patterns and challenges kids ages 8 years and up to perform tricks, shows and expand their imagination, the company said. FyrFlyz, available in a variety of colors, is about 3 in. long and features an on/off switch.
