  • CHPA Educational Foundation names WellSpring CEO to board

    WASHINGTON – The Consumer Healthcare Products Association on Monday named Wendy Shusko, president and CEO WellSpring Pharmaceutical, to the board of the CHPA Educational Foundation, the charitable and public education arm of the association. Shusko was elected by the association’s board of directors at their Annual Executive Conference at Amelia Island, Fla.

  • Acura licenses Nexafed product to MainPointe

    PALATINE, Ill. — Acura Pharmaceuticals and MainPointe Pharmaceuticals last week announced that they have entered into a license agreement to have MainPointe exclusively market Nexafed and Nexafed Sinus in the US and Canada. The pseudoephedrine-containing Nexafed brand products utilize Acura's IMPEDE Technology which disrupts the extraction and conversion of the pseudoephedrine into the illicit drug, methamphetamine.  

    MainPointe will assume all manufacturing and commercialization activities from Acura.

    COLUMBIA, Mo. — More than half of older adults have some form of hearing loss, impacting everyday life and significantly affecting their health and safety if left untreated.

Now, a new hearing aid adjustment program created by Kari Lane, assistant professor in the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri, might significantly improve hearing aid wear time among older adults.
