    STOCKHOLM - Moberg Pharma on Friday announced that the acquisition of three over-the-counter brands from Prestige Brands has been completed as part of a deal worth $40 million.

    LOS ANGELES - Genexa on Tuesday introduced a line of medicines certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Non-GMO Project verified, meaning they do not contain any genetically modified ingredients.

  • CRN establishes VMS product registry

    WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Tuesday announced it has retained UL, a global independent safety science company, to develop and administer the dietary supplement product registry that CRN says “will help create a fuller picture about the dietary supplement industry for industry regulators and serve retailers as a one-stop shop to help compare product labels.”

  • NPA argues to include VMS in WIC expansion

    WASHINGTON – The Natural Products Association on Wednesday submitted comments to the Institute of  Medicine advocating for expanding access to vitamins for low-income mothers and children.

    NPA submitted its comments as part of a Congressionally mandated study that will examine the impact of expanding the supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children (WIC) to cover certain  vitamin and mineral products.
