    DETROIT — As new wipes for removing makeup and dirt continue to hit the beauty shelves, one company is taking a “swipe” at a different segment. Enter Forever Fresh’s Swipe deodorant wipes.

    The single-use wipes were designed to offer consumers the convenience to travel without a bulky stick of deodorant. Each pocket-sized deodorant wipe is individually wrapped and 100% biodegradable.

    Infused with natural tea tree extract, Swipe applies a new layer of deodorant protection and eliminates body odor in the process, the company said.

    STAMFORD, Conn. — Further tapping into the trend of oil-infused hair styling tools, Conair has developed the new Infiniti Pro by Conair Argan Oil Treatment Strip Finishing Brush.

    This brush harnesses the powers of argan oil through the replaceable argan oil treatment strip that runs through the middle of the brush. Natural boar bristles help distribute the oil through the hair, and it promises to last for multiple uses.

  • South Beach Diet adds chocolate truffle smoothie flavor

    NEW YORK — South Beach Diet recently unveiled a new addition to its family of nutritious and convenient snacks — the South Beach Diet 100 Calorie Smoothie in chocolate truffle flavor.

    The decision to launch the smoothie came from consumer demand, the company reported. When asked, 96% of survey respondents told South Beach Diet they wanted a chocolate-flavored smoothie. The new smoothie contains 6 g of protein and fiber, and has no artificial flavors, sweeteners or sugar alcohols.

  • Hefty announces new odor-control trash bag

    LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Reynolds Consumer Products announced the launch of new Hefty Extra Strong large black trash bags, complete with White Pine odor-block technology. The product marks the brand's first odor-control, scented, large black trash bag and the only pine-scented bag on the market, according to the company.

  • HDS named Concur App Center “Partner of the Year”

    IRVINE, Calif. — Healthcare Data Solutions on Thursday announced that they were named Concur App Center “Partner of the Year” for the second consecutive year. In 2012, HDS and Concur, a provider of spend management services, formed a partnership to deliver real-time access to HDS for Concur expense clients. The resulting cloud-based application, HDSverify for Concur Connect, allows Concur users to locate and verify healthcare provider information for spend tracking and Sunshine Act reporting. 

  • Febreze launches Allergen Reducer

    CINCINNATI — In time for spring allergy season, Procter & Gamble has introduced Febreze Fabric Refresher Allergen Reducer, a product that eliminates odors and reduces up to 95% of inanimate allergens from pollen, pet dander and dust mite matter that can become airborne from fabrics after making their way into the home.    

    For the launch, P&G has partnered with The Weather Channel’s newest anchor, Sam Champion, to educate consumers on the connection between the outdoor pollen count and allergens in the home.
