    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Johnson & Johnson on Monday hosted a 30-minute walk-through of the Johnson & Johnson Health & Wellness Experience. Over the course of the presentation, J&J executives showcased a number of consumer and corporate wellness initiatives implemented by J&J, including its Corporate Athlete Program, the 7-Minute Workout app, the Digital Health Scorecard app and the Care4today app.

  • Sandoz announces generic Differin gel

    PRINCETON, N.J. — Sandoz on Monday announced the introduction of its adapalene 0.3% gel, a generic version of Differin gel, 0.3% from Galderma Labs. Adapalene gel is a retinoid and is used for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients ages 12 years and older.

    "Sandoz is proud to market a high-quality, affordable generic version of this important topical therapy,” said Peter Goldschmidt, president of Sandoz U.S. “This launch further broadens our strong offering of differentiated generic dermatology products in the United States.”

  • Cracker Jack'D announces new trail mix

    PLANO, TX — Cracker Jack'D, a brand from Frito-Lay, announced the addition of Energy Trail Mixes to its line of products. The snack, available in Chocolate Flavored Cherry and Mixed Berry, will hit shelves this month.

    The new trail mixes include a unique packaging structure that hold fruit bits in a separate pouch within the larger package, which helps to keep them tasting fresh while also ensuring that the granola and nuts stay crunchy. The seasoned mixed snack is ideal for young adults on the go, the company said.

  • Anoro Ellipta now available in retail pharmacies

    LONDON — GlaxoSmithKline and Theravance on Monday announced that Anoro Ellipta (umeclidinium and vilanterol inhalation powder), a once-daily that combines two long-acting bronchodilators in a single inhaler, is now available in retail pharmacies in the United States.

    Anoro Ellipta is used for long-term maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm or the treatment of asthma. The FDA-approved strength is umeclidinium/vilanterol 62.5/25-mcg.

    HORSHAM, Pa. — The Thomas' brand, a creator and baker of English Muffins, introduced it's flavor of the year: Cinnamon Vanilla. This is the only new flavor the company will offer in 2014.

    FAIRFIELD, Calif — Ale or Lager? Stout? Lambic? Pilsner? These are the questions candy makers at Jelly Belly Candy Co. asked themselves before creating what they say is the world’s first beer-flavored jelly bean.

    In the end, the company opted to pay homage to its German ancestry with a Hefeweizen-inspired ale flavor, and Draft Beer Jelly Belly jelly beans took shape. The new flavor is now available in bulk and a single-flavor 3.5-oz Grab & Go bag.
