    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly announced this week the addition of two new product offerings that will be available for the 2013 holiday season.

  • Clif Bar's latest bar intro sources ingredients from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms

    EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Clif Bar and Co. on Wednesday launched its Sierra Trail Mix, the newest flavor in the company’s flagship product line. 

    Sierra Trail Mix is the first Clif Bar flavor made with sustainably grown cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms and will display the frog seal on the package. The CLIF Bar portfolio now offers 17 great-tasting and distinctive flavors for athletes to push further with sustained energy.

  • QS/1 receives controlled substances e-prescribing certification

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Pharmacy automation provider QS/1 has received certification for controlled substances prescribed electronically, the company said.

    QS/1 said it received Electronic Prescriptions for Control Substances certification, making it one of the first pharmacy vendors to certify for EPCS in the 10.6 Script Standard.

  • App allows iPhone photo delivery, drug store pickup

    WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A new app for the iPhone allows users to have prints of their photos sent to the address of their choice or pick them up at CVS.

    SmartPhoto Express includes features like selection of photos from the camera roll, selection of print size, editing and enhancement of photos, and multiple prints. The company said same-day pickup of photo prints was currently available at nationwide locations of the second-largest drug store chain in the United States.

  • Empowered Products launches new mass-friendly personal lubricants into intimacy health space

    LAS VEGAS — Empowered Products on Tuesday announced the successful introduction of its intimacy health personal lubricants Pink and GunOil into mass retail outlets.

  • Fruth Pharmacy launches mobile app

    POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Fruth Pharmacy has launched a new mobile app and mobile website, the retail pharmacy chain said Tuesday.

    Fruth, based in Point Pleasant, W.Va., said the app would allow customers to refill prescriptions, receive pickup and dosage reminders and locate stores and find weekly specials. Starting in three months, Fruth prescription bottles will include a 4-in. QR code to allow quick refills by scanning them with the app.

  • Canus brings its Caprina by Canus line to U.S. market

    WATERBURY, Vt. — Canus, a provider of goat's milk skin care products, is introducing its Caprina by Canus line of soaps, body washes and foaming milk baths to the U.S. market. 

    Canus launched Caprina in Canada in early 2009 and, starting in June, Caprina will be available in U.S. retail stores. Both Publix Super Markets with 933 of its stores across the southern United States and Hannaford's 180 locations throughout New England, will begin offering a selection of Caprina products.
