  • Tom's of Maine launches new plant-based toothbrush

    KENNEBUNK, Maine — Tom's of Maine, a maker of natural personal care products, has introduced its new Naturally Clean toothbrush.

    With a plant-based handle made from renewable castor oil plants instead of petroleum, the Naturally Clean toothbrush also has dye-free, multi-height bristles to clean between teeth and along the gum line.

  • McKesson EnterpriseRx system enables mobile communication

    NEW YORK — Pharmacies using McKesson EnterpriseRx pharmacy-management system can send patients information about health clinics, drug recalls, coupons and real-time surveys through their mobile phones using an integrated mobile communication system.

    Mscripts said Wednesday that its pre-built integration with EnterpriseRx would allow pharmacists to implement quickly and cost-effectively, communicating with patients through two-way, interactive SMS text messaging and mobile applications on iPhone, Android and Windows Phone devices.

  • Soho Flordis International launches Calorease diet aid

    SYDNEY, Australia — Soho Flordis International recently launched Calorease, formulated with a patented fat binder called FBCx, into the U.S. market.

  • FDA approves injectable antihistamine using BD Simplist

    FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a drug administered through a new line of injection devices made by BD, the company said Wednesday.

    BD announced the approval of diphenhydramine hydrochloride injection, an antihistamine, packaged in its recently launched Simplist pre-filled injectables, which are made by subsidiary BD Rx and designed to improve patient care and safety by decreasing the number of steps in the traditional vial and syringe injection sequence and thus reduce the potential risk of medication errors.

  • New Bed Head styling iron aims to create smooth, defined ribbon curls

    NEW YORK — Bed Head has introduced its new Twisted 1/2-in. Ribbon Styling Iron for creating smooth and shiny ribbon curls.
     
    The Twisted Ribbon styling iron features a flat barrel design with a kink-free mini clamp. The mini clamp grasps the ends of hair, and allows users to tightly wrap hair around the flat barrel, creating smooth and defined ribbon curls and volume.

  • Herdez expands cooking sauces line, eyes wider distribution

    LOS ANGELES — Herdez, a brand of MegaMex Foods, announced today four new Mexican Cooking Sauces currently lining shelves at Los Angeles-area Albertsons stores, as well as plans to increase distribution to Walmart stores nationwide by June.

    The four new sauces include:

    • Traditional Chipotle — Chipotle simply means "smoked chili pepper." Brown and shriveled chipotles are combined with the tomato, onion and vinegar.

  • FDA approves Aciphex Sprinkle capsules

    WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a treatment made by Eisai for gastroesophageal reflux disease in children ages 1 year to 11 years, the drug maker said.

    Eisai announced the approval of Aciphex Sprinkle (rabeprazole sodium) delayed-release capsules.
