  • Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare introduces latest in LTC automated beds

    PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare on Wednesday introduced the P903 Full Electric Expandable Width Low Height Long Term Care Bed to its premium line of beds and bedding products.

    Capable of supporting up to 600 lbs., this bed can ultimately help reduce resident falls and staff injuries. The P903 also features a dual-pedal floor lock braking system, under-mount LED lighting, handheld pendant control, synchronized hi/lo motors, adjustable wall saver, maximum under-bed clearance and the capability to roll easily at any height.

  • Kmart Pharmacy to conduct free memory screenings in May

    NEW YORK — Kmart Pharmacy and The Alzheimer's Foundation of America have expanded their partnership, whereby Kmart will conduct free memory screenings in all of its locations throughout the country and Puerto Rico during "Older Americans Month" in May. 

    In addition, Kmart will again conduct memory screenings in November during Alzheimer's Awareness Month. 

  • Kalorama retail clinic survey identifies opportunity for diagnostic manufacturers

    ROCKVILLE, Md. — Kalorama Information said that most retail clinic visitors arrive at clinics with a good idea of what ails them, according to a survey of customers released Monday. More than half consumers (52%) polled by Kalorama reported that they entered the clinic knowing what they needed and what their ailment was.  

    But as many as 31% reported they had a general idea of what their ailment might be but medical attendant had to do some diagnosis and 16% did not know what the ailment was.

  • The Little Clinic head adds pharmacy president to role at Kroger

    CINCINNATI, Ohio — Kroger has expanded the role of The Little Clinic president Colleen Lindholz, naming her president of its pharmacy division Monday. Lindholz, who has led The Little Clinic since 2015, takes over pharmacy duties from Philecia Avery, who Kroger said resigned the company earlier this month to pursue other interests.

    AUSTIN, Texas — According to National Sleep Foundation, the most recent findings from its Sleep Health Index found that more than four in 10 Americans reported that their daily activities were significantly impacted by poor or insufficient sleep at least once during the past seven days.
