  • Kmart survey reveals shopper insights regarding flu shots

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- In an effort to encourage vaccinations, Kmart has unveiled data from a new survey showing that one in four Americans believe getting the flu vaccine early is the best way to avoid getting sick.

    A new online survey of Kmart shoppers, conducted on behalf of Kmart Pharmacy by the company's Member Feedback and Insights team, found that more than a third of shoppers choose not to get a flu shot, and almost a quarter said that price plays a significant role when deciding if they should get vaccinated.

  • Ralphs and Feeding America partner on wellness campaign

    LOS ANGELES -- Ralphs Grocery Company is teaming up with Feeding America food banks in Southern California on a new health and wellness campaign.

    Through April 1, Ralphs will donate one meal through the Feeding America network of food banks for every flu shot administered at its in-store pharmacies.

    SILVER SPRING, Md. - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday that it is requiring class-wide changes to drug labeling, including patient information, for almost 400 products to help inform health care providers and patients of the serious risks associated with the combined use of certain opioid medications and a class of central nervous system depressant drugs called benzodiazepines.

  • Joint venture to bring co-branded RediClinics to N.J. Rite Aid stores

    CAMP HILL, Pa and WALL, N.J. — A new joint venture between RediClinic and Hackensack Meridian Health is bringing co-branded community care clinics to Rite Aid stores in the Garden State, the two companies announced Tuesday. The joint venture will see 10 Hackensack Merdian Health RediClinics open at Rite Aid locations in Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, the first of which will open later this year. 
     
  • Convenience predominant factor in where to get flu shot, CVS survey finds

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - A new survey from CVS Health released Tuesday found that more than one-third (34%) of U.S. adults who have ever received the flu shot determine where to get vaccinated based on convenience. Specific convenience factors that would make Americans more likely to have themselves and their families vaccinated against the flu include having the vaccine readily available without an appointment (28%) and being able to get the entire family vaccinated at one place/time (20%).

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - Walgreens is now offering flu shots at all of its pharmacies, including Duane Reade pharmacies in New York, and at all Walgreens Healthcare Clinic locations, the  company announced Monday.

  • Kroger pairs customer flu shots to philanthropic food drive

    CINCINNATI - Kroger on Monday announced a new health and wellness campaign in partnership with The Little Clinic and Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization. From Aug. 15, 2016 through April 1, 2017 Kroger will donate one meal through the Feeding America network of food banks for every flu shot administered at all Kroger family of pharmacies or The Little Clinic locations.
