    SAN FRANCISCO and JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Acosta and e-commerce management solutions company Content Analytics recently announced a partnership  that will enable Acosta to add e-commerce capabilities to its integrates sales and marketing offerings. Content Analytics’ e-commerce platform brings together analytics, content management and reporting capabilities.

  • CVS' Blue Cross and Blue Shield FEP specialty pharma contract expires at year end

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health’s contract to provide specialty pharmacy services for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Federal Employee Program (FEP) will end at the end of 2017.

    “Given that the contract expires at year end, the loss of this contract does not affect the company’s 2017 financial results. The loss of this specialty pharmacy contract, which is expected to generate revenues of approximately $2.8 billion in 2017, is not expected to have a material impact on the company’s operating profit in 2018,” CVS wrote in a statement.

  • Sephora expands Beauty TIP format in Manhattan

    SAN FRANCISCO — Sephora is taking experiential retail to a new level in New York City.

    The beauty retailer has remodeled two of its high-profile Manhattan locations to its new Beauty TIP (Teach, Inspire, Play) store format. The locations include Sephora’s 11,300-sq.-ft. store on 34th Street, its largest store in North America, as well as a Fifth Avenue location.

  • Publix looks to reignite GreenWise concept

    Publix Super Markets is revving up for growth in the organic and natural foods store space.

    Publix announced plans to reignite its GreenWise store concept. The grocer launched the format in 2007, and currently operates three stores under the banner. It has not opened a new GreenWise location since 2008.

    With interest in healthy and organic foods still on the rise. Publix said it will relaunch GreenWise with a location in Tallahassee, Florida, near the Florida State University campus. It’s expected to open in late 2018.

  • Report: Supervalu combines Farm Fresh and Shoppers operations staff

    EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Supervalu combined the merchandising and operations staff of its Farm Fresh and Shoppers brand names, according to a report in The Virginian-Pilot.

    SuperValu spokesman Jeff Swanson told the newspaper on Thursday that 21 of 44 merchandising and operations positions in Virginia Beach, Va., were eliminated. He said a remaining 23 jobs in operations would stay in Hampton Roads, Va.
