  • Miami-area Walgreens features new TD Bank ATMs

    CHERRY HILL, N.J. — TD Bank, in partnership with Cardtronics, recently branded 189 ATMs in Walgreens locations across Florida, specifically the Miami and Tampa-St. Petersburg metro areas, the company announced Wednesday.

    The TD Bank-branded in-store ATM installation follows the company's expansion last summer in Boston-area Walgreens locations.

  • Kroger promotes Harris Teeter operations SVP to lead Mid-Atlantic division

    CINCINNATI — Kroger on Tuesday announced the retirement of Mid-Atlantic division president Joe Fey, and that Jerry Clontz will succeed him. Clontz currently serves as SVP operations of Harris Teeter.

    Fey will retire from the company after 44 years of service, effective Feb. 10, while Clontz will serve as president of the company's Mid-Atlantic division, effective Feb. 1.

  • Target to introduce mobile payment service

    MINNEAPOLIS — Target will introduce its own mobile payment service in stores this year, a spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday. The spokesperson did not give additional details, including launch date, reported various media agencies.

  • Albertsons names new SVP digital marketing, e-commerce

    BOISE, Id. — Albertsons on Monday announced a new addition to its head its digital marketing strategy, naming Narayan Iyengar its SVP, digital marketing and e-commerce. He will lead the company’s digital marketing for loyalty programs, shopper marketing and overall digital presence, as well as all aspects of the e-commerce business, which includes home delivery. 
     
  • Rite Aid names new chief human resources officer

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid on Monday announced that Ken Black, Rite Aid’s current group VP compensation, benefits and shared services, has been named SVP and chief human resources officer, effective immediately. He is succeeding Dedra Castle, who is leaving the company for personal health reasons.

  • Analyst: Walgreens' Rite Aid deal still on point

    NEW YORK — Challenging "vague" reports suggesting the Walgreens deal to acquire Rite Aid may be in jeopardy, Deutsche Bank on Friday issued a research note outlining the number of options Walgreens still has at its disposal leading up to the Jan. 27 deadline.
