    Publix has hired a broker and is actively looking for sites in the Washington, D.C., area, according to a new report.

  • Report: Walmart names former Disney executive CCO

    Walmart hired former Disney public affairs executive Brian Besanceney to serve as SVP and chief communications officer beginning April 1, The Holmes Report reported Monday. "Besanceney joins Walmart from The Walt Disney Company, where he served for five years as SVP Walt Disney world public affairs and worldwide government and industry relations, leading media relations, internal communications and community relations for Walt Disney World Resort, as well as all government and industry relations for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts worldwide," the report noted.

  • Schnucks remodels three Missouri locations

    ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Three Schnucks St. Charles County stores will unveil freshly remodeled interiors prior to the Easter holiday this weekend, the company announced Tuesday. Upon entering, customers will notice improved lighting, clean lines and new décor. 
     
    Behind the scenes, Schnucks made equipment updates including energy efficient and temperature-controlled coolers and cases.

    SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - American Associated Pharmacies, a member-owned cooperative comprised of over 2,100 independent pharmacies located in 49 states, announced Monday that it has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Partners in Pharmacy Cooperative, an independent pharmacy cooperative with more than 300 members in 19 states.
