  • Target furthers beauty footprint, introduces fragrances

    The collection will feature the confident and charming, good and grounded, vibrant and playful and cool and collected scents, which will be available in perfume, body spray and rollerball options.
  • Target reports strong holiday sales, raises fourth quarter predictions

    The retailer said it now expects 2017 will be the fourth consecutive year in which its digital sales grow more than 25%.

  • Target announces extended holiday hours

    Target is catering to last-minute shoppers by extending store hours and offering convenient ways to obtain purchases before the holiday. The Minneapolis-based company has announced that up until December 23, all stores will open at 7:00 a.m., and close at midnight. On Christmas Eve, all Target locations throughout the nation will open at 7:00 a.m., and close at either 10:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.

  • Target to acquire Shipt, providing same-day delivery service

    Minneapolis-based Target has announced it has come to an agreement to acquire Shipt, a digital same-day delivery platform for $550 million in cash. The retailer will leverage its network of store’s and Shipt’s technological platform to quickly and efficiently bring same-day delivery to consumers across the country.

    That is what industry guru, Mack Elevation Forum founder and DSN partner Dan Mack told a packed house at the 19th annual Drug Store News Industry Issues Summit at New York City’s Plaza Hotel in late November. Moderating a panel of executives from such top retailers as CVS Pharmacy, Target, Walmart, Walgreens and Sam’s Club, Mack challenged them to explain to the audience what they were doing to remain relevant. 
  • Target launches payment system within its app

    Target is introducing a new way for consumers to pay for their purchases while never having to leave the company’s app. The Minneapolis-based retailer has launched Wallet in the Target app.

    With Wallet, consumers can pay for purchases using their Target REDcard and find savings with Cartwheel — all within a single scan of their phones at checkout, the company said.

  • SodaStream brings flavor essences, Fruit Drops to retailers

    Fans of SodaSteam will be pleased to know that the company has announced in-store availability for its latest product launch, the premier flavor essences, Fruit Drops. This announcement comes after the line of unsweetened products sold out within two weeks of becoming available on the brand’s website. 

    Fruits Drops enhance ordinary tap water when made into sparkling water with a SodaStream machine, contain zero calories, all-natural flavor and no preservaties, according to the New Jersey-based company. 

  • Target partners with Always to support Girls on the Run

    CINCINATTI — Target is partnering with Always based on insight from the #LikeAGirl campaign, to prevent the loss of confidence in young girls. Together, both brands are supporting Girls on the Run, a nonprofit organization which provides physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls between third to eighth grades.
