    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS on Wednesday providing updates on three pillars that support its corporate social responsibility report, entitled Prescription for a Better World.

    “We are committed to making health care more affordable and accessible, reducing our environmental impact, and operating our business with integrity. These priorities are represented by the three pillars that support our strategy,” CVS stated in the report.

  • Walgreens to team with VA, VFW to provide veteran assistance

    WASHINGTON — Walgreens, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. jointly announced a collaborative agreement that will help improve mental health care for veterans via enhanced education, access to resources and outreach.

    Walgreens, VA and VFW will work together to reach veterans in communities across the country with targeted initiatives to address mental health awareness and treatment, veteran suicide prevention and opioid overdose education.

    WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — BJ’s Wholesale Club on Tuesday announced a $1 million donation from its foundation to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. BJ’s donation, its largest single donation to any organization to date, will support local food banks on the East Coast by providing infrastructure to support growth and resources to handle additional perishable food.
