WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Americans see prescription drug abuse as a growing problem that is increasingly impacting their lives, according to a CVS Health-Morning Consult survey, with three-quarters of respondents believing the problem of prescription drug abuse is tied to people who take medication prescribed for someone else. 

At the same time, nearly one in three people report having unused medication in their home and one in five say they or someone they know has had prescription medication stolen from their home. 

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — This week, hundreds of community pharmacists will convene in Washington, D.C. to advocate for their patients and their businesses during the National Community Pharmacists Association's 2017 Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In.

On April 26 and 27, community pharmacists will meet with members of Congress to generate support for legislative priorities that improve patient access to prescription drug services. Those efforts will be supported by a week-long advertising campaign in leading Washington, D.C. news outlets.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation awarded $230,000 in scholarships and grants through its 2017 NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program. The recipients were presented with their awards Monday night at an NACDS Foundation event during the NACDS Annual Meeting.
