  • Kmart garners top ranking on pharmacy customer satisfaction index

    ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Kmart earned the top ranking — a score of 84 out of a possible 100 — in the health and wellness/pharmacy category in the recently released American Customer Satisfaction Index “Retail Report 2016.” Kmart’s ranking rose from a score of 76 the prior year, good for a 10.5% year-over-year increase.

  • APhA calls for award submissions

    WASHINGTON — The American Pharmacists Association Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2017 Pinnacle Awards. Established in 1998, the Pinnacle Awards honor significant contributions to health care quality via the medication use process.

    There are the three award categories in which nominations can be made:

  • Genentech, Publix, Mars and Regeneron named to Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list

    NEW YORK — Genentech, Publix, Mars and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals were named to Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list. The listings are based upon reviews by company employees.

  • Premama adds gummy multi, sleep aid and pregnancy-friendly energy mix to lineup

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Premama on Tuesday announced the addition of three new product innovations to its line of pill-free solutions for preconception, pregnancy and beyond. Debuting at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif., the new products include Premama Prenatal Vitamin + DHA Gummy, a first-to-market prenatal vitamin formulated with DHA and iron in a gummy format, along with Premama Prenatal Sleep Aid Soft Chew and Premama Prenatal Energy Drink Mix.

  • Slew of healthcare companies named tops for executive women

    NEW YORK — A host of drug store industry-related companies were named to the 2017 National Association for Female Executives Top Companies for Executive Women. In alphabetical order, these companies, among the 60 named to the list, include Abbott Labs, Cardinal Health, Colgate Palmolive, Eli Lilly, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg, L’Orèal, Merck, Procter & Gamble, Roche, Target and Walmart.

  • Cardinal Health wins HDA’s Distribution Management award

    PALM DESERT, Calif. — Cardinal Health was named the winner of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s 2017 Distribution Management award for its ergonomically friendly and timesaving upright refrigerated unit. The annual award was presented at the 2017 Distribution Management Conference here.

  • Genoa wins Seattle Business’ Innovation in Health Care Delivery award

    SEATTLE — Genoa, a QoL Healthcare Company, on Monday announced that it was one of 18 companies honored by Seattle Business magazine’s 2017 Leaders in Health Care Awards. Genoa won the silver award for Innovation in Health Care Delivery from the magazine at the March 2 award ceremony held at the Bell Harbor Conference Center. 
     
  • MD Labs names $1K scholarship recipient

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Kim Nguyen of La Puente, Calif., was named a recipient of a $1,000 MD Labs/Rxight Scholarship Supporting Excellence in Pharmacy Studies.
