  • Stop & Shop customers, partners donate nearly $2 million through Food for Friends program

    QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop announced that its customers and partners donated nearly $2 million through the company's annual fundraising program.

    The supermarket chain said it will donate 100% of the funds, raised through the 22nd annual Food for Friends program, to regional food banks and local pantries across the Northeast as part of the company's hunger relief efforts.

    The storewide effort ran from Oct. 28 and through Dec. 11, 2011.

    CONCORD, N.C. — Banana Boat sun care will take on the sun and the speedway for a new partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing Teams. Banana Boat will sponsor the race cars of Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates driver Jamie McMurray and Target Chip Ganassi Racing driver Dario Franchitti during the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup and IZOD IndyCar Series racing seasons, respectively.

  • Dial for Men partners with Spartan Races, develops new Speed Foam body cleanser

    PITTSFIELD, Vt. — Henkel’s Dial for Men is the presenting partner of the 2012 Spartan Race series, sponsoring all 38 U.S. races, which kick off Jan. 28 in Temecula, Calif.

    Spartan Race hosts obstacle course races through mud and trails to test one’s resilience, strength, stamina and quick decision-making skills.

    Spartan warriors will be supplied Dial for Men body wash at the shower stations to wash away the toils of the course.

    The new Avril Lavigne Salon Effects real nail polish strips are inspired by the pop star’s signature energetic, no-frills attitude and straight-talking lyrics.

  • Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt to debut Super Bowl ad

    WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Dannon is showcasing its Greek yogurt line with a new advertisement that will debut during Super Bowl XLVI.

    The company said its new Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt ad is part of a fully-integrated marketing campaign designed to emphasize its better-for-you position in the market. The ad will feature actor John Stamos, who appeared in a Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt last August.

  • Kellogg's characters to don milk mustache

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — As part of its "Love Your Cereal" initiative, Kellogg's announced that it has partnered with the National Milk Mustache Got Milk? campaign.

    The company said its popular cereal characters — including Rice Krispies characters Snap!, Crackle! and Pop!, Mini from Frosted Mini Wheats and Frosted Flakes' Tony the Tiger — will appear in their first-ever "milk mustache" ad to emphasize the consumption of cereal and milk as a healthy way to start the day.

  • Novo Nordisk partners with Paula Deen in new diabetes initiative

    PRINCETON, N.J. — Danish drug maker Novo Nordisk is partnering with cooking show host Paula Deen to launch a campaign to help adults find ways to manage challenges associated with Type 2 diabetes, the company said Tuesday.

    Deen and her sons, Bobby and Jamie, star in a series of videos as part of the Diabetes in a New Light initiative, in which Deen is sharing her personal diabetes story for the first time.

  • Passage Foods, Beth Hillson enter recipe partnership

    COLLINSVILLE, Conn. — A maker of international cooking sauces has teamed up with the founder of the Gluten-Free Pantry brand to develop a range of recipes for those seeking gluten-free meal solutions.

    Passage Foods said its partnership with Beth Hillson, who was diagnosed with celiac disease in 1976 and also serves as president of the American Celiac Disease Alliance and recently penned "Gluten-Free Makeovers," will help cater to time-starved consumers who want home cooked meals that are nutritious, healthy and gluten free.
