  • Deloitte: 66% of holiday shoppers plan to browse online and buy in-store

    NEW YORK - Retailers could see record web traffic this year, according to Deloitte's 31st annual holiday survey of consumer spending intentions and trends. Among the findings from the 2016 study, more consumers than ever before plan to shop online for gifts.

  • Kroger raises nearly $450,000 in support of Hurricane Matthew relief efforts

    CINCINNATI - Kroger announced Tuesday its family of companies has raised nearly $106,000 from customer and associate contributions to assist Hurricane Matthew relief efforts. Kroger and its subsidiaries have also delivered in-kind contributions of food and water valued at $235,000 to local food banks and Red Cross relief stations and $52,000 in pet food to animal shelters, in storm-impacted areas.

    In addition, Kroger has committed to a corporate gift of $50,000 for a total contribution of more than $443,000 to support hurricane relief efforts.

  • Report: New Tribeca Target a hit with city dwellers

    A new flexible-format Target store in the Tribeca area of Manhattan is now open, and so far it's been a hit with shoppers.

    According to the New York Daily News, the exterior of the store doesn't say Target — only its logo can be seen, the big red bullseye signals what it is. Inside, the first floor feels more like a local trendy shop than a Target.

    LOS ANGELES -- Supermarket partners Ralphs and Food 4 Less are inviting their customers to be part of the Stop Diabetes movement by donating their spare change.

    November is Diabetes Awareness Month and now through Nov. 8, Ralphs and Food 4 Less are offering their customers the opportunity to help in the fight to stop diabetes by donating their spare change in specially-marked coin boxes located at the check stands in all Ralphs and Food 4 Less stores in Southern California.
