  • Bic improves its pens with new technology

    SHELTON, Conn. Bic celebrated the official launch of its Easy-Glide System ink technology, which has been incorporated into its Velocity retractable, Atlantis retractable and Pro+ ball pens.

    The technology provides up to 35% smoother writing compared with current Bic pen ink systems, the company said.

    To help celebrate the event, Bic is kicking off its "Get a Clue" event Nov. 3 and 4 at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal, which invites consumers to help solve a gigantic crossword puzzle and learn more about how Bic ballpoint pens are made.

    EXTON, Pa. Kiwi Shoe Care's Camp Dry line is helping consumers keep their shoes prepared for upcoming harsh weather.

    Kiwi's Camp Dry heavy-duty water repellant and Camp Dry performance fabric protector can be found at mass merchandisers, including Walmart and Target, as well as sporting goods stores. Both products are designed to repel water and minimize stains and wear-and-tear.

  • Report: Scott Naturals tube-free toilet paper gets test run

    NEW YORK As part of its sustainability efforts, Kimberly-Clark will do a test-run of its Scott Naturals tubeless toilet paper in Northeast Walmart and Sam's Club stores, according to published reports.

    The Scott Naturals line, which features bath tissue, towels and napkins made with a significant amount of recycled fiber, was developed in response to consumer demand for environmentally friendly products that didn't sacrifice performance. Last month, Scott Naturals introduced the Smart Flush bag, a device that reduces toilet water use.

  • DPS discloses Q2 earnings

    PLANO, Texas Dr Pepper Snapple Group reported earnings per share of 60 cents for the second quarter, up from 59 cents in the year-ago period.

    The company, however, had fewer shares outstanding in the latest quarter.

     

  • Cookie dough bars added to ZonePerfect line

    ABBOTT PARK, Ill. Abbott Nutrition is expanding its ZonePerfect line of products to include a treat for cookie dough fans.

    ZonePerfect cookie dough bars are available in chocolate chip, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin varieties. Each bar offers antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and is an excellent source of protein, the company said.
