    CHICAGO — Seventeen percent of coffee drinkers enjoy consuming one "cup of joe" at a time, according to new Mintel research.

    FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Gelato and sorbet brand Ciao Bella is rolling out a better-for-you dessert to frozen food aisles this spring.

    New Adonia Greek Yogurt will be available in 14-oz. containers, including blueberry, espresso, key lime, mango, peach, raspberry and vanilla varieties, as well as yogurt bars, which will be available in peach and wild blueberry flavors. What's more, all Adonia products are fat free, will tout less than 130 calories and contain nine grams of protein per serving.

    MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills has launched a special promotion in line with the premiere of "Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace" in 3D.

    General Mills said its cereal brands will tout specially marked boxes that will contain eight exclusive collectable pens featuring iconic characters from the film. Participating cereals include Cinnamon Toast Crunch (12.8 oz.), Lucky Charms (11.5 oz.), Reese’s Puffs (13 oz.), Cheerios (14 oz.), and Cookie Crisp (11.25 oz).

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — PepsiCo on Monday revealed details of the ads that will premiere during Super Bowl XLVI this weekend.

    Pepsi's 60-second "King's Court" ad will feature "The X Factor" winner Melanie Amaro singing for Grammy-winning music legend Sir Elton John who plays a "king of rock" in the commercial. Amaro will sing a contemporary version of "Respect," a song made famous by Aretha Franklin.

    APOPKA, Fla. — Simply Orange has added two beverages to its lineup.

    Simply Cranberry Cocktail and Simply Lemonade with Mango are made with all-natural ingredients and use only not-from-concentrate juices, the company said. Both flavors will be available 59-oz. carafes, while Simply Cranberry Cocktail also is available as a 13.5-fl.-oz. single-serve size.

    Simply Cranberry Cocktail and Simply Lemonade with Mango beverages now are available in the refrigerated section of stores nationwide.
