    BOSTON — Samuel Adams is expanding its beer lineup with new Revolutionary Rye.

    An American-style rye ale, the new beer is a deep, reddish-hued ale, brewed with both rye and roasted malt for a spicy character, the company said.

    Samuel Adams Revolutionary Rye now is available as part of the new Samuel Adams American Originals variety pack for a suggested retail price of $13.99 to $15.99 per 12-pack.

    LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Peter Rabbit Organics’ line of squeezable puree pouches is expanding with the addition of new vegetable and fruit blends.

    The new veggie and fruit purees — now available in sweet potato, corn and apple; pea, spinach and apple; and carrot, squash and apple varieties — come in BPA-free pouches and contain 100% organic vegetables and fruits, with no added sugar or artificial flavors.

    SAN FRANCISCO — Poco Dolce has introduced a vegan line of chocolate bars that marry sweet and salty.

    The company's bittersweet chocolate bars are available in six varieties, including olive oil with sea salt, peanut butter, Mayan chile, bittersweet with sea salt, hazelnut and "five spice."

    The bars carry a suggested retail price of $6 each.

    LOS ANGELES — Looking to offer a greener option for users of Styrofoam and noncompostable insulated cups, Repurpose Compostables has launched a new insulated hot cup that is 100% compostable.

    One Cup requires no sleeve, uses 65% less carbon dioxide than a traditional cup and can be composted in 90 days, the company said. The insulated cups also feature Ingeo-based lining, which eliminates the need for "double cupping," to assure the beverage, and not the drinker's hands, stay hot.

Each package contains three to four servings, and each simmer sauce contains all-natural, gluten-free ingredients.
