    BOSTON — CVS Health presented a $50,000 Community Grant to Family Reach, which will fund the Family Relief Direct Assistance Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to provide financial support and education to families who have a child or young adult in active cancer treatment and experiencing financial hardship.

  • CVS highlights ‘Snacks That Give Back’ at more than 2,300 stores

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Pharmacy launched a new initiative, “Snacks That Give Back,” which highlights more than 30 better-for-you snacks that support charitable causes, fair labor and sustainability.

    These products are featured at a trend zone-themed area in the store at 2,367 locations through early May.

  • CVS’s MinuteClinic to provide free heart health screenings on Valentine’s Day

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is offering a special Valentine’s Day service for its customers. The retailer’s medical clinic on Tuesday is providing free “Know Your Numbers” heart health screenings at its more than 1,100 locations nationwide. Men and women who visit MinuteClinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. can receive a free heart health preventive screening to learn five key personal health numbers that can reduce their risk of heart disease: total cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index.

  • CVS accredited with CEO Cancer Gold Standard

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health was accredited with the CEO Cancer Gold Standard from the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, in recognition of the retailer’s efforts to reduce the risk of cancer for its employees and covered family members.

    CVS was specifically honored for taking actions in five key areas of health and wellness to fight cancer in the workplace, including: discouraging tobacco use; encouraging physical activity; promoting healthy diet and nutrition; detecting cancer at its earliest stages; and providing access to quality care.

  • CVS pledges to raise minimum of $10M in fight against heart disease and stroke

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health has pledged to raise a minimum of $10 million during the next three years to support life-saving cardiovascular research and education. The retailer is a new national sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, an annual campaign designed to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke as the No. 1 killer of women and to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

    CVS also announced Helena Foulkes, president of CVS Pharmacy, has been named the inaugural national chair for Go Red For Women.

  • CVS introduces cheaper EpiPen competitor

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS introduced a generic version of injectable epinephrine to compete with Mylan’s EpiPen at all of its locations. The product carries a cash price of $109.99 for a two-pack.
