  • UPDATED: PBM drives CVS in Q3, but front-end retail sales decline

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Strong results in its PBM business provided a boost during CVS Health’s fiscal third quarter, with the retailer on Nov. 8 reporting a 23.6% increase in net earnings to $1.5 billion and a revenue increase of 15.5 percent to $6 billion for the period ended Sept. 30. 

  • CVS honors veterans

    FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — CVS Health teamed with the NFL’s New England Patriots on Nov. 5 to provide a football skills camp for nearly 30 veterans from Massachusetts and Rhode Island at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

    The camp included a Patriots-style entry onto the turf via an oversized Patriots helmet. Once the skills session began, Patriots alumni Patrick Pass, Harold Shaw and Vernon Crawford taught veterans from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs New England blocking, throwing and kicking skills, followed by an autograph session, lunch and stadium tours.

  • CVS Caremark earns URAC accreditations across several programs

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health announced Wednesday that pharmacy benefits manager CVS Caremark has earned URAC accreditations in Health Call Center for its Pharmacy Advisor counseling program as well as in Pharmacy Benefit Management and Drug Therapy Management.

  • CVS Health efforts have helped collect 47 metric tons of unwanted meds

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Health is releasing new data illustrating the impact of the company's Medication Disposal for Safer Communities program ahead of the upcoming National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 22. Since 2014, the company's disposal program has donated a total of 626 drug disposal units to police departments in 42 states, collecting more than 47 metric tons of unwanted medication.
