  • Kimberly-Clark joins AAFES on 'spring cleaning' sweepstakes for military shoppers

    DALLAS — The Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Kimberly-Clark are teaming up to give away 10 $1,000 gift cards in the "Spruce Up Your Space" sweepstakes.
     
    “With spring cleaning in full swing, an extra $1,000 can go a long way to getting the house in order for the summer,” said the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor Chief Master Sgt. Jeffry Helm. “Shoppers just need to visit their Exchange during the contest and simply fill out an entry form for a shot at the shopping spree.”
     

  • Cool Gear rolls out new products

    PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Cool Gear has expanded its line of hydration products with three new items.

    Cool Gear said its Pure Squeeze line features a 26-oz. squeezable water filtration bottle with a replaceable carbon filter that reduces the taste and smell of chlorine for up to 100 gallons of water. The BPA-free bottle also includes a pull-up sipper with a clear, protective cover.

  • ECRM announces construction of Charlie Bowlus Technology and Innovation Center

    SOLON, Ohio — ECRM announced that a state-of-the-art center will be built in honor of its late leader Charlie Bowlus.

    The Charlie Bowlus Technology and Innovation Center, which currently is under construction, is being built in a public charter school in Cleveland and is set to open this fall in the Cleveland Public School District, ECRM president Mitch Bowlus said, who will fund 100% of the costs for this center.

  • Etch A Sketch responds to political comment with new campaign

    BRYAN, Ohio — After being thrust into the political arena, Ohio Art has launched a series of ads designed to maintain the political neutrality of its classic drawing toy.

    Ohio Art announced that its advertising agency, Team Detroit, has launched three ads for the company's Etch A Sketch product. The campaign followed comments made by a political aide of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who said, "you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It's almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and we start all over again."

  • Greased Lightning adds multipurpose cleaner to portfolio, updates packaging for all products

    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Greased Lightning has added a multipurpose cleaner to its lineup of household cleaning products.

    The mulitpurpose cleaner, the company said, delivers the same cleaning power as the brand's flagship Super Strength product, known for its degreasing capabilities, but comes in a fresh spring rain scent.

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — An auto brand has unveiled a new line of batteries designed to power household devices.

    DieHard has launched its full line of alkaline batteries that include AA, AAA, C, D, 9V and rechargeable batteries. The rollout is being supported by a new television campaign that is an updated version of the company's DieHard TV ad from the 1970s to underscore how the brand is celebrating 45 years as America's auto battery brand, but now will deliver power and superior performance through a full line of alkaline batteries for household devices.

    SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — A new device designed to offer home climate and aroma control has hit the market.

    New Honeywell with Febreze Freshness Cool and Refresh fan brings together Honeywell's ability to circulate stagnant indoor air while utilizing Febreze Set & Refresh scent cartridges that are designed to refresh a room by eliminating odors, Honeywell said. What's more, a single scent cartridge can last up to 30 days, depending on the fan speed that's used.
