  • AllerMates launches allergy alert wristbands in time for BTS

    MONTVALE, N.J. — AllerMates on Thursday announced the launch of its character-driven wristbands designed for children with allergies beginning this September.

    The product is introducing a clip-strip program in time for back-to-school. Retail price is $4.99 each.

    AllerMates products are hypoallergenic, nickel- and latex-free, and have passed safety testing. The wristbands are adjustable and fit most children.

    HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — At-home gel manicure system Red Carpet Manicure has unveiled new limited-edition nail art kits, which hit Ulta Beauty stores this summer and will launch nationally in the fall.

    There are three kits available — Tips and Tricks, French Manicure and Gems and Jewels — which provide beauty mavens with the necessary tools to get creative and customize their manicured nails. A QR code on the packaging directs consumers to Red Carpet Manicure’s video website for more information and helpful tips.

  • Fiber One Chewy bars cater to kids

    MINNEAPOLIS — Fiber One has introduced new snack bars for kids.

    Fiber One Chewy bars tout 110 calroies or less and 8 g or less of sugar and do not contain high-fructose corn syrup, Fiber One said. The bars are available in chocolate and strawberry PB&J varieties and are complete with a peanut butter or chocolate-flavored bottom.

    HYDERABAD, India — Dr. Reddy's Labs has launched a generic version of a popular cholesterol drug.

    The company announced Wednesday the launch of atorvastatin calcium tablets in the 10-mg, 20-mg, 40-mg and 80-mg strengths.

    The drug is a generic version of Pfizer's Lipitor, which had sales of slightly more than $8 billion during the 12-month period ended in March, according to IMS Health.

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — Pepsi has expanded its Pepsi Next brand with two new flavors.

    Pepsi Next cherry vanilla and Pepsi Next paradise mango flavors deliver real cola taste with 60% less sugar than regular Pepsi, the company said.
