  • More than 18,000 McKesson employees to give back through 'Community Days'

    SAN FRANCISCO - McKesson on Monday announced that more than 18,000 McKesson employees at more than 180 locations across the U.S. and Canada will participate in the annual "Community Days" volunteer event. Held Sept. 19 - 30, 2016, Community Days lets employees give back and raise awareness about the struggle many cancer patients face to afford basic items during chemotherapy treatment.

  • Project Health brings screenings, education to CVS Health in suburban Philadelphia

    LANSDOWNE, Pa. — CVS Health earlier this month announced the 11th year of its Project Health initiative, which provides a series of free screenings to patients in those communities where complementary health services and the corresponding education consultations can have a significant impact on people.

    This year, CVS Health expects to provide hundreds of thousands of free biometric screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose and total cholesterol, across 10 multicultural markets.

  • Moody’s: Walmart leading charge against Amazon

    That’s one of the main findings of a new report by Moody's Investors Service, which says that while Amazon keeps raising the stakes online and has a decade-plus advantage over other retailers in e-commerce, it still faces intense competition from the likes of Walmart and Best Buy, who are raising the bar online for other physical merchants.

    The term social customer care refers to the quick and personalized customer service brands are expected to provide through social media once a customer engages with them to resolve an issue. To date, 92.5% of brands are failing to meet customers' social customer care expectations, according to the “Social Customer Care Report,” from Rational Interaction.
