    BRISTOL, R.I. - With courses scheduled for July and October, the Professional Education Center at the Roger Williams University School of Continuing Studies recently announced a curriculum in conjunction with CVS Health. The CVS Health Executive Learning Series for Diverse Suppliers is a new, customized professional development program designed to help diverse suppliers gain critical management skills.

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - Walgreens is offering vaccinations that provide protection against measles, mumps and rubella at all of its pharmacies throughout Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi as health officials in Tennessee recommend vaccination due to a number of reported measles cases. Vaccinations are available daily at Walgreens pharmacies and Healthcare Clinics with no appointment necessary and may be covered by insurance.

  • Dollar General invests in Southeast growth with new Georgia DC to open in 2017

    GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. - Dollar General on Monday announced it purchased land in Jackson, Ga., which sits in both Butts and Spalding counties, to serve as the location for the new distribution center the company plans to construct in the central part of the state. It will be the 15th facility in the retailer’s growing distribution network.
     
  • KKR to sell 15 million shares of Walgreens Boots Alliance

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - Walgreens Boots Alliance on Thursday announced that affiliates of KKR intend to offer for sale in an underwritten secondary offering 15 million shares of the company’s common stock pursuant to the shelf registration statement filed by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Feb. 17, 2016.
     
    The selling stockholders also intend to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.5 million shares of the company's common stock.
     
  • Canadian retailers respond to Fort McMurray wildfires with donations

    MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Both Walmart Canada and Loblaw companies sent financial aid to support the relief efforts in the Fort McMurray community. According to reports published Friday morning, fires in the province of Alberta have to date forced the evacution of 88,000 residents and destroyed more than 1,600 structures. 
     
  • Costco sales up 3% to $9 billion for April

    ISSAQUAH, Wash. - Costco on Wednesday reported net sales of $9 billion for the month of April, the four weeks ended May 1, 2016, an increase of 3% as compared to the similar period last year.
