  • Vegan option and superfruits added to ThinkThin lineup

    LOS ANGELES — ThinkThin on Wednesday introduced its new ThinkThin Protein & Superfruit lineup, representing a premium line of baked protein bars made with real fruit, whole grains and nuts. Along with four flavors that each offer 10 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber, ThinkThin Protein & Superfruit also includes a vegan bar, a first for the brand.

  • CRN focuses on 3 talking points in Congressional outreach

    WASHINGTON — The foundation on which the Council for Responsible Nutrition is basing its Congressional outreach this year is based on three elements: Incorporating dietary supplementation into the bedrock of any federal policy that promotes health and wellness; highlighting the many ways the dietary supplement industry is seeking to augment government oversight through self-regulation initiatives; and enjoining Congressional leaders to participate in an ongoing dialogue with VMS industry.

  • i-Health bolsters probiotic lineup with UP4 acquisition

    CROMWELL, Conn. — i-Health, a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal DSM, announced Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the UP4 Probiotic brand from UAS Laboratories.  UP4 is a successful specialty channel brand that features a full line of probiotic products.

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
