  • Duck brand duct tape to partner with Fiskars

    AVON, OH — Duck Tape brand duct tape will join forces with Fiskars Corp. to introduce a new line of scissors for crafting, the companies announced on Tuesday.

    “Both Duck brand duct tape and Fiskars share a commitment to creating innovative products that help people express their creativity,” Fiskars VP brand marketing Jay Gillespie said. “This partnership is a perfect fit, and we’re looking forward to giving enthusiasts tools that make creating with Duck Tape easier than ever before.”

  • Good Neighbor Pharmacy, KaBOOM! and the Community YMCA design, build dream play space for children

    RED BANK, N.J. — In less than eight hours, a play space was built at the Community YMCA’s Family Health and Wellness Center with the help of more than 200 volunteers from the Community YMCA, Good Neighbor Pharmacy and non profit KaBOOM!, the companies announced Monday. The new playground — which was made possible by funds donated by Good Neighbor Pharmacy and matched by its parent company, AmerisourceBergen — will serve hundreds of children in the community for years to come.

  • Unilever signs sponsorship agreement with Manchester United

    MANCHESTER, England — Unilever and Manchester United have inked a three-year regional partnership in South East Asia whereby Unilever will become the club’s official personal care and laundry partner in nine countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

    A number of Unilever’s most popular personal care and laundry products, such as Clear, Omo and Rexona, will now carry the Manchester United crest.

    NEW YORK — Just For Men will be the official hair care partner for Movember, the global men’s health charity, and has kicked off the search to find the Mo Bro face for 2014.
     
    Every November, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces all over the world. "Mo Bros," as they are affectionately known, grow moustaches beginning on Nov. 1 to raise funds and awareness to combat prostate and testicular cancer in the United States.

  • Pez Candy offers Duane Reade-themed Pez dispensers

    ORANGE, Conn. — Pez Candy earlier this year released several promotional Pez dispensers featuring Walgreens and subsidiary Duane Reade delivery trucks. 

    While Walgreens stores got three different promotional trucks, the Duane Reade pharmacy stores got the Up Market fresh and the NICE trucks along with their Duane Reade promotional trucks.

    NEW YORK — OPI has teamed up with celebrity partner Gwen Stefani in announcing seven new limited-edition nail lacquers for 2014, featuring color in breakthrough finishes.

    Highlights from the collection include a bold red lacquer that pays homage to Stefani’s signature lipstick, a new semi-matte satin finish in shades of gold and black, and a mirrored chrome paired with a special base coat.
