  • Inventure Foods to offer Nathan's Famous snacks

    PHOENIX — Inventure Foods has teamed up with Nathan's Famous to offer ready-to-eat snacks that will be available at retailers this fall.

    Inventure Foods said that its lineup will include Nathan's crunchy crinkle fries, which will be available in cheddar cheese, chili cheese and honey mustard flavors and packaged in 2- to 3.5-oz. bags for a suggested retail price to $1.99 to $2.19. Additionally, Nathan's crinkle cut potato chips will be available in a single-serve, 1.25-oz. size that will retail from $.99 to $1.29.

  • Jones Soda celebrates breast cancer awareness with limited-edition flavor

    SEATTLE — Jones Soda has introduced a limited-edition beverage in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

    New breast cancer awareness soda features various pink-themed images, including a black-and-white photo of world snowboarding champion Lindsey Jacobellis, who recently was tapped to serve as part of the Jones Soda Athletic Team. A portion of the sales from the soda will be donated to the nonprofit organization, Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC).

    PRINCETON, N.J. — Church & Dwight, the maker of Arrid Extra Dry antiperspirant deodorant, has partnered with New York Yankees closing pitcher Mariano Rivera to launch the brand's new advertising campaign.

    The TV spot, which began airing Sept. 21, showcases the five-time World Champion relief pitcher on the field, illustrating his grace under pressure demeanor.

  • Perry's Ice Cream relaunches Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz

    BUFFALO, N.Y. — Perry's Ice Cream has relaunched an ice cream flavor that commemorates a National Football League team.

    The Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz ice cream, which is the official ice cream of the NFL team Buffalo Bills, originally was introduced in 2008. This year, the ice cream is getting a makeover to reflect the Bills new helmet design. The Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz features premium French vanilla ice cream with laces of fudge and brownie pieces, Perry's Ice Cream said.

  • Mars announces collaboration with Fairtrade International

    MT. OLIVE, N.J., and BONN, Del. — Mars Chocolate and Fairtrade International will introduce the first Fairtrade-labeled Mars product.

    As part of the collaboration, the first Mars product to carry the Fairtrade mark will be Maltesers, which will arrive in U.K. and Ireland stores in 2012. This initial phase of the agreement will contribute more than $1 million annually in Fairtrade premium funds for cocoa farmers to invest in their farms, business organizations and communities.

  • Kroger features employee breast cancer survivors in new campaign

    CINCINNATI — Kroger has committed $3 million in donations for local breast cancer initiatives across the country to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, the grocer announced Monday.

    "We are honored that so many of our courageous associates are willing to share their experiences as breast cancer survivors," stated David Dillon, Kroger's chairman and CEO. "Their inspirational stories educate and encourage others to better care for each other and their own health."
