    ATLANTA Mars Chocolate North America is set to unveil its newest innovations in chocolate and ice cream.

     

    Mars will unveil several new items this week at this year's National Association of Convenience Stores show in Atlanta:

  • The FRS Co.'s Healthy Energy line gets revitalized

    FOSTER CITY, Calif. The FRS Co. has enhanced its ready-to-drink beverage line, Healthy Energy.

    The single-serve drinks, available in 11.5-oz. cans, now feature a fresh new look and taste, containing the FRS-patented blend of the powerful all-natural antioxidant quercetin, seven essential vitamins and green tea extract. The newly packaged line is available in apricot nectarine and orange flavors sweetened with stevia, as well as low-calorie wild berry, peach mango, citrus pomegranate and orange flavors.

     

  • Tribe Mediterranean Foods' hummus earns recognition from Cooking Light

    TAUNTON, Mass. Tribe Mediterranean Foods is getting recognition for its all-natural hummus.

    Editors at Cooking Light magazine named Tribe's hummus the grand prize winner for its nutritional benefits and taste. Tribe features a full line of all-natural hummus, including a combination of 14 delicious flavors and four organic varieties. Tribe Origins, the new all-natural, smooth and creamy style hummus, is available in four unique flavors: classic, spicy red pepper, tomato and veggie, and zesty spice and garlic.

     

  • New Leaf expands distribution to Albertsons

    OLD TAPPAN, N.J. A line of tea beverages is arriving at Albertsons stores in California and Nevada.

    New Leaf's beverage line, which includes 11 unique tea flavors, four lemonades and two diet iced teas, will be available at 248 Albertsons locations in the two states.

     

  • Huggies covers 'every little bottom' with diaper drive

    DALLAS Kimberly-Clark's Huggies brand has kicked off a diaper drive with the help of "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo.

    The diaper drive, Every Little Bottom, will include a series of local drives, events, a donation from the brand and other activities to generate up to 20 million diapers for babies in need. Pompeo, who recently gave birth to her daughter, serves as an ambassador for the cause.

  • Wasa gets flat, crispy

    CHICAGO Wasa is expanding with a line of thin, whole-grain crackers.

    Wasa's new thin and crispy flatbreads are available in original, rosemary and sesame, making them ideal for entertaining or as a wholesome snack.

  • Frito-Lay to take noise out of SunChips bags

    PLANO, Texas After launching eco-friendly bags for its SunChips brand, Frito-Lay again is looking to revamp the packaging.

    According to a report by USA Today, Frito-Lay said it is removing the noisy material found in the compostable bags. While they are environmentally friendly, the bags have received negative customer feedback.
