    Cosmetic Promotions, a full-service marketing and advertising company that only handles beauty brands in mass retail, is divulging advice on how smaller brands can enter an already booming market. The Orlando, Fla.-based company issued four rules in an infographic, found here, that it believes will help a brand launch its product successfully.

    With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, companies are trying to entice consumers by announcing Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals before the actual day. With that type of information out in the open, Wisconsin-based company Shopko also decided to share its predictions for what exactly consumers will be on the hunt for when hitting retailers nationwide.

  • C-store giant dives into beauty

    Convenience store 7-Eleven is expanding into cosmetics. The company has launched its own line of beauty products called, Simply Me Cosmetics. An assortment of 40 products for face, eyes and lips which are included in the line will be priced between $3-$5. The brand is targeted towards the busy millennial-aged woman who looks for makeup and accessories while taking care of business, family and themselves according to the company.

  • Rite Aid announces Black Friday, holiday season savings

    Black Friday deals are currently getting underway and Rite Aid stores throughout the nation are kick starting the shopping season by offering its lowest offers of the year. With sales starting as early as 8 a.m. on Thursday and 7 a.m. in select locations on Black Friday, the Pennsylavania-based retailer hopes to entice consumers.

    The lowest offers of the year will become available through the retailer from Nov. 23 to Nov. 25, when using Rite Aid’s wellness+ with Plenti card. Stocking stuffers and holiday essentials that will be on sale include:

  • Vaseline celebrates launch of new body butter with Viola Davis

    Vaseline has unveiled its latest product, the Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Smoothing Body Butter. Made with 100% pure cocoa and shea butter, this product contains four times more emollients than any other lotion, according to the company. 

  • CVS Pharmacy unveils Black Friday, Cyber Monday deals

    With Thanksgiving days away, so are Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and CVS Pharmacy has shared the deals that will be available to its ExtraCare members this year. The Woonsocket, R.I.-based retailer said it will kick off a three-day Black Friday sales event on Thanksgiving Day to run through Nov. 25, and hold flash sales every day Nov. 26 through Dec. 2 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the week of Cyber Monday. 

  • Greeting card sales continue to hold steady

    According to the Greeting Card Association, sales of the greeting card category — which they estimate to be between $7 and $8 billion — have held steady the past few years.
