  • Hello products channels charcoal to whiten teeth

    MONTCLAIR, N.J. — The latest addition to hello products' toothpaste line uses black paste to whiten teeth. The company has introduced its hello activated charcoal whitening toothpaste. 

    The black paste is formulated with charcoal and bamboo to remove surface stains naturally, polish and remove plaque, the company said, noting that the toothpaste also contains coconut oil to soothe teeth and mint leaves for fresh breath.

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Sabra Dipping Company is expanding its line of Guacamole products. The joint venture between PepsiCo and Strauss Group has introduced new Classic Guacamole with Lime. The recipe for this dip starts with a chunky, flavorful fresh Haas avocado for a homemade taste, the company said, noting that a strong burst of lime is then added as a final touch.

The new Jojoba Oil and Ucuuba Butter collection for Protective Styling is aimed at preserving the health, texture and length of natural hair while containing no mineral oils, parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol or sulfates, the company said.  

  • Adobe data points to record-breaking Cyber Monday

    Online sales are expected to go through the roof on Cyber Monday, growing 16.5% over last year.

    That’s according to a report from Adobe, which predicts that Cyber Monday will generate $6.6 billion in sales, making it the largest online shopping day in history. Online sales on Thanksgiving Day are expected to increase 15% to $2.8 billion.

    Adobe expects that total online sales for the holiday season will be $107.4 billion, an increase of 13.8%. In-store retail is expected to grow 10%.

  • Walmart pulling out all the stops this holiday season

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart has unveiled a multi-pronged holiday strategy that emphasizes convenience, expanded assortments, price discounts, speedy deliveries — and in-store fun. The company said it will throw three themed parties at its stores (for a total of 20,000 parties chainwide) over the course of the season. At the parties, which will include product demonstrations, customers will be able to test (and, in some instances, taste) top holiday items.

    ROCKVILLE, Md. — Litter for small dogs could become the next wave of in-demand items by pet owners, according to market research firm Packaged Facts. The company reports that despite the cat litter market being at $2.8 billion, it holds an opportunity for sales growth that does not depend entirely on felines.

    Canines weighing under 25 pounds could be the next target, considering 12% of U.S. households own dogs weighing under pounds, while 43% have ones weighing between 8-24 pounds — making them the most popular household pet in the nation.

  • ColourPop enters Sephora in first brick-and-mortar launch

    ColourPop, known for its low prices, long-lasting formulas and exclusive availability through the company's e-commerce site, has made its brick-and-mortar launch. The company is now available in select Sephora stores nationwide and on Sephora’s website. News broke in August about the collaboration, which features eyeshadows, palettes and lipsticks for under $40.
