  • Just For Men launches Control GX shampoo

    NEW YORK — Just For Men on Monday launched its new shampoo, Control GX, which gradually reduces gray hair for subtle, permanent and natural looking results, the company said. The shampoo is designed to be a “smart shampoo” that can be used instead of a consumer’s usual shampoo for a couple of weeks until they achieve the amount of gray reduction they want.

    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Men’s grooming brand Dove Men+Care on Monday announced the debut of its Elements range of products. The products will draw on premium ingredient combinations, including Minerals + Sage, Charcoal + Clay and Mineral Powder + Sandalwood.

    ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Bröö’s new Craft Beer Barber line of products has launched in Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com, the company announced recently. Each recipe is infused with craft beer to promote strong, shiny hair and healthy skin, Bröö said. 
     
  • SK-II hot seller for Procter & Gamble

    CINCINNATI — The continued growth of the super-premium SK-II skin care brand was a main component that led Procter & Gamble to enjoy a 3% rise year over year in beauty segment sales for its 2017 fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31.

    Also rising to the occasion was innovation and marketing support for the Pantene and Head & Shoulders brands, P&G announced Friday.

  • Trump seeking critically important appointee for retailers

    In the Trump administration, retailers can expect a new head of the FDA, one of the 4,000 or so political appointees. 

    According to Forbes, the current FDA commissioner, Dr. Robert Califf, assumed the position only in February, so he has not really had time to make his mark.

    His predecessor, Dr. Margaret Hamburg, was there for seven years, however, and provides an exemplar of the kind of commissioner a Trump administration should avoid.

    CINCINNATI — Actress, film producer and philanthropist Priyanka Chopra is joining a roster of women around the globe as Pantene’s newest Global Brand Ambassador.

    Chopra will be the face of Pantene’s new campaign celebrating the Brand’s biggest shampoo launch in 30 years: Pantene Pro-V’s new Shampoo formulas that go beyond washing to fuel hair from within.
