  • McKesson and Change Healthcare to form new IT company

    SAN FRANCISCO & NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- McKesson and Change Healthcare Holdings announced the creation of a new healthcare information technology company on Tuesday.

    The entity will combine substantially all of Change Healthcare’s business and the majority of McKesson Technology Solutions into a new company.

  • Pharmasave pharmacists trained in medication therapy management

    VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Pharmasave announced that its pharmacists have been trained to be leaders in providing medication therapy management programs.

    This includes reviewing medications for appropriateness, identifying potential problems such as drug interactions, alternative therapies and contraindications and patient counselling on appropriate use. 

  • Shopko rolling out higi stations across 376 stores

    CHICAGO -- Higi is accelerating the pace of its expansion plans with the addition of Shopko as the latest retailer planning to install higi stations at its stores.

    The agreement between higi and Shopko will allow shoppers and employees to monitor and track their biometric health information and share their data with trusted health partners.

  • Safeway expands Quest Diagnostics diagnostic testing offering to 12 locations

    MADISON, N.J. - Quest Diagnostics and Safeway are teaming up to offer diagnostic testing in 12 Safeway locations, in addition to the two locations currently operating in Arizona through Quest's Sonora Quest Laboratories joint venture with Banner Health, the companies announced Wednesday.  

    Quest Diagnostics will provide diagnostic testing services offered in company-branded Patient Services Centers in 12 Safeway locations in California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia and Maryland.

  • Synergy Medical names Tollstam U.S. director, national accounts

    QUEBEC, Canada — Synergy Medical, manufacturer and distributor of SynMed pharmacy automation, announced Monday that it had named Trey Tollstam as its new U.S. director of national accounts.
     
    Tollstam, who had been U.S. sales director, Americas, at Gerresheimer, will develop and drive sales activities for Synergy Medical in the United States, and will play a leading role in growing the company.
