  • Harris Teeter and MillerCoors donate holiday meals to 400 military families served by Operation Homefront

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Harris Teeter and MillerCoors on Tuesday donated holiday meals to 400 military families served by Operation Homefront. Murphy-Goode also donated $6,000 in Harris Teeter gift cards to Operation Homefront; the gift cards will be used by military families to purchase holiday meals. 

    Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization which provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

  • PGT Healthcare, Swisse Wellness collaborate on global VMS brand

    MELBOURNE, Australia — PGT Healthcare, the international joint venture between Procter & Gamble and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, earlier this week announced a collaboration with Swisse Wellness, a leading wellness brand in Australia, to begin expanding Swisse Wellness' range of more than 100 vitamins, minerals and supplements globally over the next few years.

    Swisse Wellness products are currently available in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. The collaboration with PGT Healthcare encompasses all new markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

  • Safeway launches holiday food drive

    PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway on Thursday announced the launch of its Help Us End Hunger (Every Bag Counts) food drive to help make the holidays brighter for people who rely on the assistance of food banks.

    The company is joining with customers, Kraft, local food banks and broadcast partners to collect food donations at Safeway stores through Christmas. 

    To make the donation process easier, a specially produced Every Bag Counts shopping bag filled with the items food banks need the most will be available for $10 at all Safeway stores.

  • Grumpy Cat-themed odor-elimination solution introduced

    LOS ANGELES — Feline Internet celebrity Grumpy Cat is the mascot for a new pet odor-eliminating product from Accuy Natural Solutions, the company said.

    Grumpty Cat's Odor Eliminator uses a liquid extract from the Yucca schidigera plant to remove odors, binding to any form of ammonia-based odors, particularly cat urine, and converting ammonia to ammonium, a non-toxic form of ammonia that lacks its odor.
