  • Fred’s to roll out 9 new TelehealthONE kiosks in Miss.

    CANTON, Miss. — In a move aimed at helping improve access to healthcare in the state, Fred’s is rolling out more TelehealthONE walk-in kiosks to locations across Mississippi. The first TelehealthONE kiosk was launched at a Fred’s location in Flora, Miss. in September 2015, and the next nine will hit the communities of Union, Pelahatchie, Carthage, Morton, Jackson, Pearl, Clinton, Lexington and Terry.

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Heralding Walgreens Boots Alliance's next phase of evolution, the Chicago-based retailer recast several senior management roles and responsibilities Thursday.
     
    The company elevated the roles of Alex Gourlay and Ornella Barra to co-COOs in order to provide even greater focus and collaboration and further streamline the management of the company’s global operations. 
     
  • CVS Health debuts across Oregon through Target

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. -  Oregon, a new market for CVS Health, is the latest market where Target pharmacies have been successfully transitioned to CVS Health, the Rhode Island pharmacy operator announced Wednesday. The new CVS pharmacies, located in several metropolitan areas, including Portland, Eugene and Medford, are being operated through a store-within-a-store format.
     
  • NACDS Congressional statement urges provider status, MTM

    ARLINGTON, Va. –  The National Association of Chain Drug Stores issued a statement Wednesday urging members of the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health to focus on policies and innovations that will improve healthcare access and foster healthcare-delivery partnerships by supporting provider status legislation. 
     
  • MinuteClinic opens new clinics in Md. Target stores

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- MinuteClinic has opened eight new locations inside Target stores in Maryland, including six in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

    The clinics – located in stores in Annapolis, Baltimore (Canton), Bel Air, Cockeysville, Ellicott City, Nottingham, Silver Spring and Towson – have been rebranded and converted to MinuteClinic. There are now 43 MinuteClinic locations in Maryland, including clinics in select CVS Pharmacy stores.
