  • CVS Health debuts across Oregon through Target

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. -  Oregon, a new market for CVS Health, is the latest market where Target pharmacies have been successfully transitioned to CVS Health, the Rhode Island pharmacy operator announced Wednesday. The new CVS pharmacies, located in several metropolitan areas, including Portland, Eugene and Medford, are being operated through a store-within-a-store format.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Meijer on Thursday announced that it had received Specialty Pharmacy at Retail accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Specialty Healthcare (ACHC). The announcement comes less than a year after Meijer acquired specialty pharmacy and health care company Aureus Health Services. 
     
  • WBA marks 'next phase' with naming of pair of co-COOs

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Heralding Walgreens Boots Alliance's next phase of evolution, the Chicago-based retailer recast several senior management roles and responsibilities Thursday.
     
    The company elevated the roles of Alex Gourlay and Ornella Barra to co-COOs in order to provide even greater focus and collaboration and further streamline the management of the company’s global operations. 
     
  • Report: Target asks suppliers for help

    Target is reportedly requesting that many of its suppliers assume up to 3% to 5% more of the cost of promotions and price reductions on some items. According to Reuters, at least 12 Target suppliers have confirmed they were asked to pay for more of the promotional cost for a variety of slow-moving products. Target reported declining sales in its most recent fiscal quarter and publicly said it would likely enter an extended promotional period. (Reuters)

  • More consumers to get Steripod toothbrush protection

    LOS ANGELES – Personal care products brand Steripod has expanded the distribution for its market leading clip-on toothbrush protector.

    The product is now available in 30,000 stores across the United States, including for the first time at 6,000 CVS and 6,000 Walgreens stores. Additionally, Steripod has added 200 Meijer stores, Shopco Wisconsin locations and will roll out to 1,000 plus Kroger Group stores nationwide later this year.
