  • Natrol introduces first new products since Aurobindo Pharma USA acquisition

    CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Natrol on Wednesday introduced three new products, including Natrol Skin, Hair & Nails, Natrol Biotin Plus and Natrol Extra Strength Turmeric. These represent the first product introductions since being under new ownership by Aurobindo Pharma USA. 
     
    The new products will be on store shelves in May at select retailers nationwide, such as Walgreens, Sprouts and other health food retailers.

  • NBTY donates more than 420,000 pounds of protein bars to Island Harvest Food Bank

    HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - NBTY has donated 421,315 pounds of nutrition bars to Island Harvest Food Bank, which, in turn, will supplement approximately 350,000 meals to Long Islanders struggling with food insecurity, the company announced Thursday. The donation, which consists of NBTY's nutritionally-rich Balance Bars and Pure Protein Bars, represents the largest single donation ever made in the history of the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Campaign.

    The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Wednesday initially stood up against this proposed pre-market approval requirement on dietary supplements being sold on U.S. military bases.
